Almost every card shop in Tokyo sells One Piece now, which sounds helpful and is actually the problem. A list of everywhere that stocks it runs to well over sixty shops and tells you nothing about where to spend an afternoon. So this guide sorts them instead. Three shops are official Bandai Namco stores, with their own events, teaching sessions and limited items. Six sell One Piece and essentially nothing else, including one in Takadanobaba with a 64 seat free play space. Five are official merchandise stores where cards arrive on a release calendar and the good drops run as lotteries. The rest are card shops that carry One Piece properly alongside Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh, which is genuinely useful when you want to price check a single across four counters in one walk. The official shops keep different hours
Ikebukuro and Shibuya run 10am to 9pm. The Shinjuku shop inside namco TOKYO stays open to 11pm on weekdays and 1am from Friday to Sunday, which makes it the only stop in this guide you can reach after dinner and a show.
Mugiwara Store cards are release driven
The five Mugiwara Stores are official merchandise shops, not card shops. Card products arrive on a release schedule rather than sitting in stock, and high demand drops are commonly allocated by lottery. Go for the merchandise and treat cards as a bonus.
Price check before you commit
Singles pricing moves between shops and between districts. Akihabara has the most counters within walking distance, so it is the easiest place to compare, while the Kichijoji and Nakano shops sit outside the tourist foot traffic. If a card matters, check two or three before buying.
Tax free is not standard here
Most card shops do not process tax free, and singles often fall under the threshold anyway. Torecaru Shibuya is one of the few in this guide that confirms it. From November 1 2026 the system changes to a refund method where you pay the tax at the register and claim it back after customs.

They are run by the publisher rather than a retailer, so they carry limited items that do not reach the resale market, and they run official events and teaching sessions. There are three in Tokyo, in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku and Shibuya. They are not the cheapest place to buy singles, which is what the card shops are for.
OneHappy in Takadanobaba runs beginner sessions daily and keeps a 64 seat free play space, which is the largest in this guide. The three official shops also run teaching sessions, though on a less frequent schedule. Both are better first stops than a singles counter.
It overlaps, and deliberately so. Most Tokyo card shops carry both, so a shop appearing in each guide is accurate rather than lazy. What is different is the top of this list. The three official One Piece shops, the five One Piece only specialists and the five Mugiwara Stores appear in no Pokemon guide, because they do not sell Pokemon at all.
Many of them buy as well as sell, and several in this guide are noted for it. Bring your passport, expect the offer to be based on current market rather than book value, and know that condition standards in Japan are strict. Toreca Binks in particular is known for strong prices on rare cards.
