Tokyo’s hotel Christmas buffets bring roast turkey, lobster gratin, Christmas cakes and, at a few of them, Santa doing the rounds. Christmas here is largely a night out with friends or a date, so a buffet is an easy way to mark it. All thirteen here serve on December 25, a Friday this year, three of them only at lunch or in the afternoon. Pair one with an evening walk using our guide to Tokyo’s Christmas lights.
