Dover Street Market has its own exclusive line only found at its Ginza location. When everything is out of stock, Harajuku's secondhand shops are your next best options.
What you are actually looking for
The Tokyo Chapter line is a city exclusive Stussy release, where Tokyo is printed under their iconic logo. It makes a nice souvenir and also subtle flex on those who haven't made it to Tokyo yet. The pieces are branded Tokyo, so you can pick them up at either the Shibuya or Harajuku locations. Dover Street Market Ginza is the exception where you can find an exclusive DSMG variant at their Ginza location.
How restocks work
What decides your trip is whether a shipment has arrived recently, not which store you pick. We could not find a published restock schedule, and the accounts that circulate do not agree with each other. A creator who films at the Shibuya store puts the drops on a Friday roughly once a month. Palmnut, a Harajuku shop that resells the Tokyo pieces, describes them arriving without warning every few months and selling through in about three days. Treat all of that as history rather than a timetable, and ask staff what they can tell you about the next delivery.
Being first in line solves less than you would think, because arriving at opening cannot produce stock that is not there. One drop day account described a twenty minute wait at Shibuya and forty at Harajuku, and a separate Shibuya trip came away with Tokyo pieces at around four in the afternoon on a Friday. Those are single visits rather than a pattern to plan around, and nothing we found establishes how long a release lasts or which sizes go first. Stussy Harajuku is a separate Chapter store, on the ground and basement floors of the Houston Building at 4-28-2 Jingumae, a walk north from Shibuya. Chapter pieces for this city are branded Tokyo rather than Harajuku, so you are asking for the same design here. Make it the second place you ask if your day already takes you through Harajuku.

That is one account rather than an official price, and it is months old. Stussy Japan lists its own basic tee at 9,900 yen for comparison. Ask for the total at the counter before you decide.
Tax free shopping applies when your purchases at one store on one day come to 5,000 yen or more before tax. Bring your passport and ask the store to confirm that you qualify, because not every shop runs the process at the register. From November 1, 2026 you pay the tax up front, and the seller refunds it after customs confirms the goods are leaving Japan within 90 days of purchase.

Its listing for the Stussy Tokyo Exclusive short sleeve tee opens around 13,950 yen, and sales in early September cleared near 15,000. Read the store carefully though. It describes itself as sneaker led, and app purchases cannot be collected there, so treat this as the place to learn what the shirt is really worth before you agree to a resale price anywhere.
Buying a secondhand piece
Resale options are abundant but introduces a price and authenticity problem. Ask the shop how it checks for authenticity on what it takes in and what its return terms cover.
